This Trip to Sri Lanka includes some of the best highlights for a holiday in Sri Lanka. The itinerary is very relaxed giving you extra time to visit sites and to enjoy each destination, at a slow pace so you can enjoy time with your kids. We have chosen some of our favourite hotels which offer more personalized service and try to give you a more homely stay for your holiday.
On arrival, you will stay near the Airport by the beach to relax after your long flight, from there, you drive to the historical town of Dambulla and spend three nights exploring the historical sites like Sigiriya Rock, Pidurangala Rock and Dambulla cave temple. We recommend an evening safari to see Elephants in the Wild at Minneriya National Park. Then you spend one night in Kandy – Sri Lanka’s hill capital and explore the Temple of the Tooth & Botanical Gardens. You then take the scenic train journey up to Ella and spend two nights in this area and do some nice walking and hikes in the hills. A few days for safaris at Yala National Park and then finally drive down for five nights on a wonderful south coast Beach in Sri Lanka.

ITINERARY
Day 1 :
Pickup from the airport and drive to Negombo (30 minutes) If time permits explore local area.
Day 2 :
Morning drive to Dambulla (4.5 hrs) on route visit Dambulla temple caves. Village experience with a local lunch.
Day 3 :
Morning visit Polonnaurwa ancient city, Evening safari in Minneriya National Park to see elephants.
Day 4 :
Climb Sigiriya Rock in time for sunrise or you can climb Pidurangala rock.
Day 5 :
Drive to Kandy (2 hrs) Explore Kandy , Visit the temple of tooth, garden, Cultural dance.
Day 6 :
Explore tea plantations, Ambulawa spiral staircase and the take the train from Nuwara Eliya to Ella.
Day 7 :
Explore Ella, Nine Arche bridge, Little Adams peal, Ella Rock, Cooking experience with lunch.
Day 8 :
Morning drive to Yala visit Buduruwagala temple on route (3 hrs) Afternoon safari in Yala National Park.
Day 9 :
Morning or evening safari in Yala National Park and drive to Galle.
Day 10 :
Drive to your beach hotel on the south coast, visit Galle Fort Mirissa, snorkeling for the family on route

Beach stay
Day 14 :
Drive to the airport for your flight back home (2 hrs)
